As part of its year-long 50 th anniversary celebration, members of the Alpine Lake Resort Property Owners Committee (POC) continue their Candy Wheel fundraising effort to help the local community.
Thanks to candy bar donations from numerous resort Property Owners, along with the efforts of resort volunteers, the committee ran the Candy Wheel at the recent Alpine Lake Resort Music Fest and Oktoberfest events with $150 (Music Festival) and $135 (Oktoberfest) earned through players at the candy wheel and individuals donating at the booth. A check of $225 was previously donated to the Terra Alta Volunteer Fire Department.
Kelly Fike of the Terra Alta Ambulance Squad accepted the $225 donation recently on behalf of the Ambulance Squad. The remaining $60 earned from the candy wheel will be matched by Alpine Lake Resort property owners and donated to an additional organization in the future
